“What impressed me most initially about Francey Homes was the relationship between Gordon and Mary. It’s very unusual to find a husband and wife team working together like this on a build, and the two of them complement each other perfectly. Having Mary running an office on site meant that the logistics and administration headaches that often arise for specialist firms like ourselves just did not exist. Everything happened in a timely and efficient way and with a sense of working in partnership. This allowed everybody involved in what was a major project to concentrate on producing a great result for the client. Gordon takes as much ownership of a project as if he is building it for himself.

His advance planning is exceptional, anticipating problems and coming up with ways around them. He has a real vision for the end result and an outstanding commitment to delivering on his promises. If he says something will be done on Tuesday, it won’t be left until Wednesday! One reason for the quality of Gordon’s work is that he does not "float in and out", but is personally present on the build most of the time, both doing and overseeing work to his exacting standards. His attention to detail is meticulous. From a design perspective, he has a quiet confidence and never balks at whatever is thrown at him. He is willing to consider new ideas and actively seems to enjoy trying new approaches. Gordon and Mary are a highly professional outfit and delight to work with. I hold them in very high esteem.”
