Gordon was described to us before we met him by several people as a "very fussy builder", which turned out to mean very particular about details and finish - just what anybody would want! But there was certainly no fuss in his manner - he was endlessly patient, gentle and mannerly. Nothing was ever any trouble and he was very hands-on. He didn’t just give orders but got stuck in and demonstrated by example the standard of work he expected. He was also always very measured and calm and this translated to other people working with him - there never seemed to be any panics or tension among his workmen. We really appreciated his attitude of "anything is possible", particularly as it was clear he would go to so much trouble to make what we wanted a practical reality. This really instilled confidence in us, as did the fact that he completed our job from start to finish within the time frame promised. Best of all was the standard of the finish - it was clear that he wanted to complete the job the way he would want it done in his own house. In an industry where you’re only as good as your last job, we have never heard a bad word about him since, and have recommended him several times. We have him up on a pedestal!”
